Mining Trade Services

We offer support for plant, vehicle, and infrastructure maintenance, including electrical. We can provide line borers, plant mechanics, heavy-vehicle mechanics, auto-electricians, high-voltage electricians, fitter-machinists and boilermakers. Don’t end up with downtime, please give us a call.

All KRH employees are trained to listen. Clients tell us what they want, and we can make it happen. We are skilled enough to take on any job and small enough to care. No client is “just a job number” at KRH. We’re not rigid, and we rarely say no to anyone, even if it is sourcing parts. At KRH, we go out of our way to ensure customers receive what they expect, and what they need.

We have ongoing long-term contracts for trades services and everyone on our books other than the apprentices are tradespeople. KRH employees are skilled and trained to provide you with the best and most cost-effective solution. And they are local.

Our wide range of services include:

  • line boring
  • plant maintenance
  • infrastructure maintenance
  • heavy-vehicle mechanical work
  • light-vehicle mechanical work
  • auto-electrical work
  • high-voltage electrical wiring, repairs and maintenance
  • fitter-machining
  • boilermaker
  • fleet vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Procurement

If you’re a maintenance superintendent, we can bolster your crew numbers. If you have a problem, we have a solution.

Our employees live in areas ranging from Scone to Newcastle, including Maitland and Singleton, and they can get onsite quickly. We understand companies like to work with “locals”.  Our headquarters are in Clarence Town, but when companies contract us they have the advantage of accessing our “home-based” skilled tradespeople.

It’s also part of our welfare approach. Fatigue management is important and we provide trade services and mine maintenance from Gloucester to Muswellbrook and down to Maitland. And we do onsite machining from the Central Coast, through Newcastle and the Lower Hunter to the Upper Hunter and Boggabri.

We offer proactive maintenance, preventive maintenance, ongoing breakdown services, and onsite machine rebuilds. Our team can work on just about any make or model including Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi and Komatsu, shovels, draglines.

We machine anything and everything as well as fabricate and we charge at a very competitive hourly rate, which requires a lot less organisation. We don’t differentiate between day shift, night shift and weekends. There are no penalty rates with KRH apart from public holidays, and we work every day of the year apart from Christmas Day and half of Boxing Day.

All our mine-site equipment maintenance is carried out above ground and onsite. We do repair underground machines but we do it on the surface or in a workshop. Don’t end up with downtime.

Responsibility. Reliability. Relationships.

Your operations are our priority. Don’t waste time trying to co-ordinate multiple companies and tradespeople. Let KRH’s skilled operators get your plant and equipment up and running in the best shape.

We are known for coming up with solutions for our clients’ problems. It’s our trademark. We offer approaches and tailor the solution.

The big mines rarely offer long-term contracts, but relationships and trust are built up over the years. We have clients that have been with us for nearly 10 years.

Current Job Opportunities

KRH has an established reputation as a provider of skilled tradespeople, line boring services and light-vehicle repair. We are one of the few companies with ongoing contracts for mining services support and as such require workers to help fulfil our obligations.

If you are a qualified line borer, plant mechanic, heavy vehicle mechanic, auto electrician, high-voltage electrician, fitter machinist or boilermaker and would like to work with one of the Hunter Valley’s most progressive businesses, please contact us.

We have ongoing long-term contracts for trades services offering excellent remuneration packages and have an enviable safety record. You must have experience with mining operations.

Our light-vehicle mechanical repair workshop and “headquarters” is based at Clarence Town and we are transforming the current two-bay shed into a state-of-the-art operation. But we are a “mobile” employer and service the Hunter Valley and Central Coast. Currently, we have 45 employees on the books, many of them home-based. Our policy, where possible, is to always employ locals. Please give us a call if you would like to join the KRH team.
